Comic Scripts are basically scripts I come up with during my off time. They're a little too long for a comic strip nowadays, but would have been perfect fifty years ago back when comic strips took up half a page regularly. The characters are pretty generic, names like Max and Tom, but just tell me what you think with your comments.

Max) What's Wrong?
Tom) I lost my watch.
Max) Where did you last see it?
Tom) If I knew that, I'd be looking over there now wouldn't I?
Max) You gotta have some idea.
Tom) Nice watch, where did you get it?
Max) Thanks. Some moron left it on your desk.
Tom) Takes one to know one.

A blog of all things controversial, not to offend anyone, but to spark debate and perhaps help you look at the world in a different light (perhaps not the best one, but probably the most realistic).

Why I'm Doing This
I just want to let you know that I will not just tell you why I'm doing this. This blog was made to cause discussion and debate, and I'd be a pretty big hypocrite if I just told you why I'm doing this. So, I'll just tell you the relevant details, and let you figure it out.
I'm a thirteen year old controversialist who happens have a very poor view of human nature (hence the cynical part of the title). You may wonder why I'm so distrusting, well that's a bit of a story.
All my life people from grandparents to teachers have been telling me to, "be nice to others and they'll be nice back," and "treat others the way you want to be treated." The latter must have been repeated a hundred times in first grade alone. The sad thing (ok, maybe the good thing to some of you optimists out there) is that I believed it. I truly believed it, and I practiced it as much as I could. However, now I think a more appropriate saying would be, "Choose your friends wisely."
All of those optimistic sayings assume that, "everyone is good on the inside, you just need to dig deep enough." It may be true, but chances are that you will never reach the good. If anything it's being held hostage by the person's happiness.
Now that may seem incredibly harsh, but let's look at the track record of history. Suicide bombings, terrorist threats and actions, 9-11, roadside bombs, the recent cargo bombing attempts, shootings, hit and runs, robberies, etc. Couple that with a 60% (give or take about five percent) national recidivism rate in prisons, you've got a lot of bad people who don't learn. That's just the past ten years. People have been bad since the beginning of civilization. Eve ate the apple, emperors were assassinated, kings were murdered, even the Catholic Church has been filled with corrupt Popes and Bishops and Priests, even in the past few years there were some abusive priests. So forgive me if I don't have a lot of faith in the kindness of others.
I'm not saying I'm going to assume you're the worst person on Earth as soon as I see you, but you had better make a pretty good first impression and not do anything completely stupid to stay on my good side. I'm more of a rationalizing cynic than a pure cynic.
Now I've got some sort of problem in my head. I get bored very easily. I usually have to be doing at least two things at a time to keep myself focused (ironic ain't it). I don't like doing nothin' either. I don't like reruns, or repeats, or anything of the sort. So I started thinking about stuff, talking to people. Discussing current events mainly (trying to stay out of politics because that's just asking for trouble). And I found out I could keep up with the best of them, and I enjoyed it. So I figured, when I can't talk to others, why not type to the world.
I'll just finish by telling you this. The comments on this blog are meant more for discussion, like forums. So I hope to see some back and forth arguments down there.
FINALLY... In between posts, I'll be commenting on Dilbert.com as the controversialcynic.
